NLRB Stops Excusing Workplace Harassment

You may be shocked by what some employees say to, or about, their managers or coworkers, as recorded in decisions of the National Labor Relations Board. In one of the worst cases, decided in 2016, an employee shouted horrible racial slurs to black colleagues, including “Go back to Africa” and “I smell fried chicken and watermelon.” In another, decided the preceding year, the employee called a manager “a nasty motherf—” and said, “F— his mother and his entire f— family.”
